Boiler replacement
Nowadays there is a selection of central heating boiler forms to power your central heating system according to your household requirements. In this section we will discuss that the variants of central heating system available to help you fit them to your requirements. The form of central thinking system taken will determine the type of gas boiler to be installed.
Due to the mean temperature that is seen across the UK, Europe and in some parts of Russia, people barely find the need for air conditioning. The bulk of new houses that are being built in this day and age are built with a Central Heating System.
Having become used to modern amenities we cannot do without a heating system. You can relax at household when the heating is operational. A central heating system also provides hot water for bathing and washing. As heating and hot water are essentials your system needs to be reliable. You will want an efficient system that runs in the background without any niggling failures.
Pumped systems and sealed central heating systems are the two main forms.
Pumped/vented systems are the most frequent. This type of system has a feed and expansion tank together with a hot water cylinder. Water expands when warmed and the expansion tank allows for this. The tank is placed in the highest place in the home, normally the attic area.
As thinking develops sealed systems are now more commonly being installed in homes. A sealed system, as the name suggests is a closed system so no water tanks are needed. A sealed Central Heating System gets its water direct from the water mains. The attic is not now used for the expansion tank or copper pipework, the sealed nature of the system without any venting delivers a number of benefits:
- no risk of freezing pipes in the loft
- there are fewer system elements reducing any upkeep requirements
- less chance of leaks
- the sealing of the system precludes air entering which could lead to interior corrosion or the evolution of an air lock.
It is usual for the water supply pressure to change and that this is dealt with by integrating a pressure vessel. This system has a valve that allows mains water to enter the system if the water pressure has dropped down. An alternative valve will open if the pressure is detected as being too high.
Whatever your system – we can design and install.
